Leonard A. Kahn

I currently serve as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University New Orleans, and, ex officio, as the Gerald N. Gaston Distinguished Professor in Religion & Science. I am also a Full Professor in the Department of Philosophy. I have been the Donald and Beverely Freeman Fellow at the U.S. Naval Academy’s Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership, as well as a Visiting Scholar at the Yale Center for Bioethics and the Hastings Center for Bioethics. At the moment, I’m reading (or rereading):

  • Paul Strathern, The Other Renaissance

  • Arkady Martine, A Desolation Called Peace

  • Anthony Rudd, The Philosophy of Camus through a Kierkegaardian Lens
