Leonard A. Kahn

I currently serve as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University New Orleans, and, ex officio, as the Gerald N. Gaston Distinguished Professor in Religion & Science. I am also a Professor of Philosophy. I was the 2021-2022 Donald and Beverely Freeman Fellow at the U.S. Naval Academy’s Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership. I have also been a Visiting Scholar at the Yale Center for Bioethics and the Hastings Center for Bioethics. Currently, I’m reading (or rereading):

  • Malka Older, The Mimicking of Known Successes

  • Adrian Galsworthy, Pax Romana

  • Seneca, Letters from a Stoic

  • Clare Carlisle, Philosopher of the Heart
